Book Lists
Since March 2011, the Institute Library has been expanding and diversifying its circulating collection with new acquisitions every month. While we continue to offer many new title in popular fiction, we have widened our focus to more literary selections and works relating to learning and discovery, civic engagement, library science and history, and the book arts. If you have any ideas or requests for new books, please email us or stop in and speak with one of our librarians.
Please click on a link below to access our most recent list of acquisitions:
We also encourage you to become a member of LibraryThing, a free social cataloging web application that allows you to view our new acquisitions online and interact with library staff, fellow library members, and thousands of other readers around the world (and catalog your own books, too!). To become a member, go to www.librarything.com and follow the instructions in the upper-right hand corner.
Once your membership has been processed, visit us at www.librarything.com/profile/TheInstituteLibrary, and click "Add to Friends" (and whatever other categories you're interested in adding us to). From that point on, you will be able to see books we have acquired since the spring of 2011 and check for regular updates. If this seems at all confusing, please feel free to call Will at the library, and he'll be happy to guide you through the process - it's worth the effort!
