Volunteering at the Institute Library

2011 will be a major year of renewal for the Institute Library with your help and any time, talent, or ideas you may be able to offer. We are currently in special need of members to help keep the Library open on Saturdays by staffing the front desk and assisting with circulation. This spring and summer, we are also seeking volunteers to help with community outreach, event planning and staffing, clean-up and painting of the third floor, and a major book sale event to benefit the third floor's renovation.

All of these opportunities present a great chance to meet your fellow members, have fun, and a make a major difference to one New Haven's great treasures. If you would like to help, please fill out the members' "Update" form and let us know what volunteer efforts you would like to learn more about.

You are also always welcome simply to call or speak with us during your next visit.
